How to send files from PC to TV
This guide shows how to send files wirelessly from your PC to your Android TV using BlueStacks and the Send Files to TV (SFTTV) app.
What You'll Need
- BlueStacks installed on your PC
- SFTTV app installed on both BlueStacks and your Android TV
- All devices connected to the same Wi-Fi network
Step 1: Install BlueStacks on Your PC
- Download BlueStacks from bluestacks.com.
- Install and launch it.
- Sign in with your Google account.
Step 2: Install SFTTV on BlueStacks
- Open the Google Play Store in BlueStacks.
- Search for Send Files to TV and install it.
- Launch the app after installation.
Step 3: Install SFTTV on Your TV
- Open Google Play Store on your Android TV.
- Search for Send Files to TV and install it.
- Launch the app; it will wait for incoming transfers.
Step 4: Add Files to BlueStacks
To make your PC files visible to BlueStacks:
- Copy the file to the shared folder: C:\ProgramData\BlueStacks\Engine\UserData\SharedFolder
- In BlueStacks, open Media Manager.
- Navigate to Internal Storage > Windows > BstSharedFolder to access the file.
Step 5: Send Files from BlueStacks to TV
- Open the SFTTV app in BlueStacks.
- Tap Send and select your file from the shared folder.
- Select your TV from the device list.
- The file will transfer wirelessly.
Step 6: Access the File on Your TV
Once transferred, you can open the file directly from:
- The SFTTV app on your TV
- A file manager app on your TV
Tips:
- Make sure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network.
- Check firewall/router settings if the TV doesn't appear.
- You can also sideload APK files this way!
